Zac Efron assures fans he’s doing fine after swimming mishap in Ibiza, writes : “happy and healthy”

Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron sparked concern among fans after being hospitalized in Spain following a minor swimming incident. The 36-year-old actor, best known for his role in High School Musical, got involved in the mishap while at his villa in Ibiza.

Efron's representative shared with People magazine that the star experienced a "minor swimming incident" in the pool at his Ibiza villa. Although Efron was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, his representative assured fans that he is fine. TMZ reported that villa staff found Efron in the pool and pulled him out, leading to his brief hospitalization.

Later, Zac Efron shared on his Instagram a post where he is seen working out in a relaxed state and he captioned the post, "happy and healthy. thanks for the well wishes" signalling that he is doing okay.

Despite the incident, Efron appeared to be enjoying his vacation prior to the event. The night before, he was seen in high spirits at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Hotel and Beach Club.

Efron has been a familiar face in various cities this summer, including Paris and St. Tropez.

The actor has openly discussed his sobriety journey in past interviews, including a revealing conversation with Elle magazine in 2016. "What I found is structure," Efron said, reflecting on the changes sobriety brought to his life. He emphasized the importance of living authentically and not through the lens of others' perceptions. "I realized that viewing yourself through other people's pictures is not living your own life. I wasn't really being myself."

Currently recovering, Zac Efron continues to impress audience with his on-screen performances. He recently starred in the Netflix romantic comedy A Family Affair, alongside Nicole Kidman and Joey King.
