Netflix has recently dropped the thrilling dark comedy, Sirens, starring Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy and Milly Alcock in the pivotal roles. The mini TV series has received rave reviews from critics and viewers alike for its A-list cast and sophisticated wardrobe.
However, the filming location, which exudes both luxury and mystery, also grabbed viewers’ attention, leaving them to wonder whether it was a movie set or a real location.
Sirens was actually filmed at real-life Lloyd Harbor, New York, especially the scenes set in the village of a fictional island. Lloyd Harbor has a small population of 4,000 people, which makes it perfect to film the series.
The town is located just a couple of hours outside New York City and features an adorable beach community, lined with several million-dollar properties. Moore and Kevin Bacon’s characters’ jaw-dropping mansion is known for housing celebrities and titans of industry, including Billy Joel, Angelina Jolie, and Jerry Seinfeld.
According to the Realtor website, houses here range from $675,000 to nearly $20 million.
Meanwhile, Peter Kell’s property shown in the series is actually not a mansion; it is the Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve, where the Caumsett estate was built in 1921.
The historic property was originally served as a country club and hunting preserve before becoming a New York State park headquarters.

Meanwhile, the indoor scenes of the latest series are filmed mostly at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, New York. The sets for the insides of the lavish mansion feature all the priceless paintings, statues, and sculptures collected by the Kells were constructed in Brooklyn.
Created by Molly Smith Metzler, Sirens follows Devon DeWitt, played by Meghann Fahy, who is concerned about her sister's unhealthy relationship with her new boss.
