Anne Hateway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt's iconic film The Devil Wears Prada is all set to return for a sequel, and now the highly anticipated instalment has a release date. The makers have recently created a buzz among the audience with the release of the film.
The Devil Wears Prada will now release on May 1, 2026. The sequel’s release date came after Marvel postponed Avengers: Doomsday to December 18, 2026, from May 1.
However, the makers have confirmed that Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt will reprise their iconic roles as Miranda Priestly and Emily Charlton. However, Anne Hathaway is yet to confirm her involvement in the upcoming instalment.
The makers are yet to share further details about the cast and plot. However, The Devil Wears Prada novel, penned by Lauren Weisberger, does have a sequel titled Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns, which was published in 2016. Lauren released another follow-up novel, When Life Gives You Lululemons, which follows Emily instead of Hathaway's Andy Sachs character.

Meanwhile, The Devil Wears Prada also features Stanley Tucci and Adrian Grenier in supporting roles.
The film was initially released in 2006 and follows Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, a young graduate who travels to New York with an aspiration to become a journalist. However, she starts working as an assistant to one of the city's biggest magazine editors, the cynical Miranda Priestly, aka Meryl Streep. Things get dramatic as Andy steps into a fashion world with zero knowledge and eventually becomes closer to bossy Miranda, discovering her vulnerable side.
