Anne Hathaway is gearing up for her highly anticipated film, The Devil Wears Prada 2. The actress recently channelled Miranda Priestly energy at Ralph Lauren’s Autumn 2026 runway show.

The presentation, which was staged in Manhattan's Clock Tower, a landmark renowned for its Beaux-Arts architecture, showcased Lauren's distinctive style. Actress Anne Hathaway was also present.

Anne Hathaway looked stunning as she sat in the front row with her husband, drawing attention with her bold outfit. The actor was dressed in a translucent black turtleneck dress with a high halter neck and no back.

The gown's carefully positioned panels shaped the silhouette, which was made from exquisite micro-layers of ruffled lace set diagonally. A long trailing train flowed behind Hathaway as she stood for cameras, revealing a dramatic dip to her tailbone with her plunging back.

Talking about her evolving fashion sense, the actress said at the red carpet, "The Devil Wears Prada changed my relationship with fashion, and it's now been 20 years since the film came out, so it's kind of hard to know where it all began, but at a certain point, the film and the fashion industry started supporting each other, and to know that we're on the precipice of seeing the second one."

She added, "I'm very excited, and I'm thrilled to learn how excited everybody else is."

Alongside original cast members Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, Anne Hathaway will make a comeback in The Devil Wears Prada 2, almost twenty years after the first movie.

The glamorous yet competitive field of fashion journalism, which is currently influenced by a fast-shifting media landscape, is revisited in the sequel. The new chapter examines changing power dynamics, whereas the original focused on Andy Sachs' survival under Miranda Priestly's cold rule.

The Devil Wears Prada 2,  a follow-up to the popular 2006 movie, will revolve around Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of Runway, as she tries to manage her career in a world where print journalism is dying. Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), Miranda's former junior assistant who is now a high-ranking executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestley sorely needs, soon confronts her.

The highly anticipated sequel is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 1, 2026, making it one of Hollywood’s most anticipated legacy sequels.
