Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya surprised fans when they publicly announced their separation in 2021.

Although years have passed since the split, admirers of the former couple continue to reminisce fondly about their relationship, often fuelling speculation about a potential reunion.

Their on-screen and off-screen chemistry remains a topic of conversation among fans, with nostalgic videos resurfacing on social media from time to time.

One such clip recently went viral, reigniting memories of their romantic bond.

In the video, taken during a promotional interview for Naga Chaitanya and Rakul Preet Singh's film Rarandoi Veduka Chudham, Chaitanya was asked to place a call to Samantha and recite a line from their first film together, Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. This romantic drama marked the beginning of their journey both as co-stars and eventually, as a couple.

Complying with the request, Chaitanya rang Samantha and informed her that the call was happening live. He then recited a line that charmed everyone: "Prapancham lo enthamaina ammayi undaga, nenu Sam ne enduku love chesanu" (When there are so many beautiful women in the world, why did I fall in love with Sam?).

Without hesitation, Samantha responded boldly with, "I didn’t give you an option. I love you." Chaitanya was seen blushing and smiling warmly in response, leaving fans touched by the evident affection between the two.

The couple’s love story began on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave, and they eventually tied the knot in a lavish ceremony held in Goa in 2017. Their wedding was celebrated as one of the most glamorous unions in the South Indian film industry.

Recently, Samantha made headlines once again, as observant fans noticed the absence of her once-prominent ‘YMC’ tattoo in a video she shared online. The tattoo, which referenced Ye Maaya Chesave, had been inked on her neck and was long associated with her bond with Chaitanya. Its disappearance has sparked further discussion among followers, adding another layer to the ongoing fascination with their story.

Naga Chaitanya is now married to actress Sobhita Dhulipala, and Samantha is said to be dating director Raj Nidimoru, but none of them have confirmed it yet.
