He said, "Birthday parties hote the, Amit Ji, Abhishek and Shweta Ji, toh I used to go. My mother used to insist that I go. Toh jan main wahan jaata tha toh I used to come back and tell my mother. I said mummy don't send me to these birthday parties. Sab Hindi baat karte hain, I don't like it (and laughs). They all speak in Hindi and I don't like it. They only talk about Hindi films."
When asked by the journalist about why did he feel like that as now he is so good at writing stories in Hindi, Karan further said, "That time I used to that 'I am from South Bombay' and had his big chipper on my shoulder that they only talk in Hindi, so tacky. I used to say that its all a big lie. yeh sab jhoot thi (that its all a lie). This revelation adds another layer to the filmmaker's journey, showcasing his evolution and adaptability in an industry he now dominates.
