The internet has been abuzz with reports suggesting that Naga Chaitanya, son of Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, and his fiancee Sobhita Dhulipala have sold their wedding rights to an OTT platform. But how true is this? Let’s take a closer look.
On Thursday, news started circulating that soon-to-be-wed Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala sold streaming rights for their wedding to OTT platform Netflix for a whopping Rs 50 crore.
But a source told HT, "There is absolutely no truth to these reports. The rumours around selling their wedding film is purely speculative and far from any truth."
The couple, who has kept their relationship private, is choosing to maintain secrecy around their wedding day. The source further revealed, "Naga and Sobhita envision their wedding as a very intimate event, focusing on family and close friends. They are dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Akkineni family by keeping this special occasion personal and sacred."
The statement also urged the media and the public to respect the couple's wishes and avoid spreading unverified information. It added, "We request everyone to honor their choice of keeping this special moment private and refrain from propagating unfounded rumors."

The couple is set to marry on December 4 in Hyderabad, with a private ceremony attended by close family and friends. The wedding will take place at Annapurna Studios, which was founded by Naga Chaitanya's grandfather.
Chaitanya and Sobhita were rumored to have been dating since 2022 after they were seen together on vacation in Europe. The couple got engaged on August 8, which was later confirmed by Chaitanya's father and Telugu superstar, Nagarjuna.
On the work front, Naga Chaitanya will next appear alongside Sai Pallavi in Chandoo Mondeti's Thandel which is set to release in 2025. Meanwhile, Sobhita featured in a supporting role in Dev Patel's Monkey Man and took on the lead role in the Hindi film Love, Sitara.
