According to reports, the incident happened at around 5 am in the morning on Sunday (April 14). The gunmen reached the Galaxy Apartments where Salman Khan lives with his parents, and opened fire. Reports further suggest that the gunmen ran away from there soon.
Bandra police are checking the CCTV footage and surrounding area. Three rounds of bullets were fired in the air, early in the morning.
The police have also arrived at Galaxy Apartments and are investigating the case. There is always security outside Salman Khan's home due to the threats.
Salman Khan has been receiving threats in the past, he has Y plus security and it was very recently reviewed.

In November 2023, Salman Khan had received fresh death threats on Facebook. It was an account claiming to be of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Though the post at that time was directed to Gippy Grewal but it later mentioned Bollywood actor Salman Khan too.
The post read: “You consider Salman Khan a brother, but now it's time for your 'brother' to come and save you," read the Facebook post addressed to Gippy Grewal. "This message is also for Salman Khan - don't be in the illusion that Dawood will save you; no one can save you. Your dramatic response to Sidhu Moose Wala's death did not go unnoticed.
"We all know the kind of person he was and the criminal associations he had. You've now landed on our radar. Consider this a trailer; the full film will be released soon. Flee to any country you wish, but remember, death doesn't require a visa; it comes uninvited." His security was reviewed post that.
Mumbai crime branch is at the spot and cops suspect the involvement of Lawrence Singh Bishnoi in the attack.
Bishnoi, who is currently in jail, has issued many death threats to Salman Khan in the past as well. He had even admitted to having sent threats to the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor.
In a statement to the NIA in 2022, Bishnoi had admitted that he wanted to kill Salman Khan. “In 2018, I sent a message to Sampat Nehra. Salman Khan has hurt our religious sentiments by killing Black Buck, so he should be killed,” Bishnoi had said this to the NIA.
