India's top musicians Anup Jalota, Shankar Mahadevan, and Hariharan are set to headline a highly anticipated series of musical concerts titled Triveni: Three Master Performers. These concerts, scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Indore this December, promise to showcase the rich heritage and depth of Indian music. However, recent discussions regarding the inclusion of Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia as guest performers have sparked controversy.
Event organizer Manish Harishankar proposed adding Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia to the concert lineup, aiming to attract a broader audience. Despite the potential for increased visibility and ticket sales, the trio of singers reportedly firmly rejected the idea.
According to Hindustan Times, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, and Anup Jalota believe that the essence of Triveni lies in its focus on the artistry and depth of Indian music. Including Bollywood stars, who are primarily known for their acting and dance performances, would detract from this core purpose. The singers emphasised that if guest performers were to be included, they should be fellow musicians who align with the spirit of the concert and contribute to its musical excellence.
A source close to the organisers mentioned, “Their aim is to keep the spotlight on the music and ensure the artistic integrity of the event.”
Manish Harishankar confirmed that he had indeed reached out to the managers of Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia to inquire about their availability and performance costs.

On the work front, both Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia continue to make waves. Tamannaah was recently seen in the heist thriller Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, directed by Neeraj Pandey and streaming on Netflix since November 29. The film also stars Avinash Tiwary, Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta, and Zoya Afroz.
On the other hand, Nora Fatehi recently appeared in Kunal Kemmu’s comedy film Madgaon Express and made her Telugu debut in Matka alongside Varun Tej and Meenakshi Chaudhary. She also featured in a popular music video with Punjabi singer Karan Aujla titled Aaye Haaye, which has been climbing the music charts.
