One of India's most cherished holidays, Ganesh Chaturthi, brings colour, music, and devotion to the streets. While families and communities come together all over the nation to welcome Lord Ganesha, the festivities in Mumbai are particularly extravagant.
With exquisitely adorned pandals, devotional singing, and countless streams of devotees vying for Bappa's blessings, the city becomes a centre of culture and spirituality for ten days.
Bollywood also participates in the celebration, and celebrities are frequently spotted touring the city's most well-known mandals. Actress Swara Bhasker and her spouse, Fahad Ahmad, were seen at a number of Ganpati pandals in Anushakti Nagar this year.
The couple spent time with other devotees, offered prayers, and gave the idols prasad. Their presence heightened the joyous atmosphere and served as a reminder to those in the vicinity that Ganesh Chaturthi is a celebration of community as well as religion.
Swara gave her followers a glimpse of the day on Instagram, posting photos and videos from the pandals with the caption: “Bidding Bappa farewell!” Her post reflected both the joy of the celebrations and the bittersweet emotions that come with preparing to say goodbye to the beloved deity.
Swara's traditional festive attire also won over admirers. She wore a matching blouse and a shimmering green saree with golden borders and embellishments. The elaborate saree detailing was exquisitely complemented by a gold-toned necklace and earrings, which completed the ensemble.

Swara's hair was styled in soft waves that elegantly framed her face, and she added a few rings for added sparkle. She had a warm smile that encapsulated the spirit of the festival and understated yet striking makeup that focused on her eyes.
As always, the culmination of Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai will be Ganesh Visarjan, when idols are carried through the streets in joyous processions before being immersed in the sea. This year, Visarjan falls on Saturday, 6 September, marking the end of the ten-day celebration.
