Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is grieving the loss of his mother, Varsha Bhatt, who died on Saturday at the age of 75. She bravely fought several health issues, including organ failure, despite being ill for a while.

The family is devastated by her passing, even though it wasn't totally unexpected. Vikram's team confirmed the news, and family members are in mourning for a woman who was renowned for her unfailing support and quiet strength.

Varsha Bhatt was the wife of renowned cinematographer Pravin Bhatt, a respected name in Indian cinema who worked closely with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt for decades.

As per a report by Saas Babhu Aur Saazish, her cremation is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday at the Versova crematorium, where family, friends, and members of the film fraternity are expected to gather to offer their final goodbyes.

It has been widely believed for over the years that Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt are related, but this is untrue. It was established that they only have a common surname and a strong professional bond—no family ties.

At the remarkably young age of 14, Vikram's own career in the film industry got underway. He began working on Kanoon Kya Karega as Mukul Anand's assistant director before he eventually discovered his own style.

Being the first stereoscopic 3D horror movie in India and a box office success, Haunted 3D was a landmark. His reputation as one of the top horror directors in the nation was further solidified by his work on the Raaz series.

His daughter Krishna is now continuing the family's creative legacy by entering the film industry. Vikram is grieving as he prepares for the release of his upcoming movie, Haunted: Ghosts of the Past 3D, remembering a mother who supported him through every stage of life.
