The striking similarity between Sobhita’s bridal look and Aishwarya Rai’s wedding ensemble has not gone unnoticed.

Sobhita Dhulipala’s all-golden South Indian bridal ensemble caught the attention of fans and fashion enthusiasts alike. The actress exchanged vows with Tollywood star Naga Chaitanya on December 4, 2024, in a grand ceremony held in Hyderabad. Draped in a resplendent golden Kanjeevaram sari designed by Gaurav Shah, Sobhita looked every bit the ethereal goddess, evoking a sense of nostalgia and traditional elegance. Her bridal look has sparked comparisons to Aishwarya Rai’s iconic wedding attire, leading many to wonder if Sobhita drew inspiration from the celebrated Bollywood actress.

Sobhita's bridal attire was a masterclass in understated opulence. The golden Kanjeevaram sari featured minimalistic prints, creating a sophisticated yet timeless appeal. Paired with a matching half-sleeved blouse with an elegant neckline, the ensemble highlighted Sobhita's dedication to her South Indian roots. Her hair, styled in a low bun adorned with fresh gajra, added to the traditional allure of her look. Complementing her attire, Sobhita wore an exquisite collection of golden heritage jewelry from Kishandas & Co., which included intricate necklaces, earrings, and armlets exuding a regal charm.

The striking similarity between Sobhita’s bridal look and Aishwarya Rai’s wedding ensemble has not gone unnoticed. Aishwarya, who married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007, wore a golden-orange Kanjeevaram sari by renowned designer Neeta Lulla. Much like Sobhita, Aishwarya aimed to reflect her South Indian heritage through her wedding attire. She paired her sari with a Zardozi embroidered blouse featuring a 5-inch sleeve, exuding grace and celebrating tradition.

Aishwarya’s bridal look was further enhanced by a stunning golden mathapatti and a low bun adorned with gajra, mirroring Sobhita's hairstyle. Both actresses chose to wear traditional arm jewelry, adding a unique touch to their ensembles. Aishwarya’s arm set, adorned with intricate Kundan work, bangles, and detailed earrings, bore a resemblance to Sobhita’s heritage jewelry.
