On January 16, singer Mika Singh announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto driver who saved Saif Ali Khan’s life after he was attacked at his Bandra home. Rana rushed the actor to Lilavati Hospital in the early hours of the morning after Saif was stabbed six times during a burglary attempt.
Mika Singh praised the auto driver’s heroic act on Instagram, saying, “I strongly believe he deserves a reward of at least Rs 11 lakhs for saving India’s favourite superstar. His actions are truly commendable.” He also requested people to share Rana’s contact details so he could offer him the reward as a token of appreciation.
Saif Ali Khan personally met Bhajan Singh Rana at the hospital before he was discharged. The actor thanked him for his bravery with a hug, and Saif’s mother, Sharmila Tagore, also blessed Rana for his quick thinking in saving her son.

The attack occurred when an intruder, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, tried to break into Saif’s home, Satguru Sharan. The 30-year-old attacker stabbed Saif multiple times before fleeing. Saif was immediately rushed to the hospital in the autorickshaw, where he underwent two surgeries.
The Mumbai Police arrested Shehzad on January 19 from Thane, and he was later produced before a court, which sentenced him to five days of police custody.
The generous reward from Mika Singh highlights the importance of people helping others in times of crisis, and Bhajan Singh Rana’s quick thinking and selflessness have been widely praised.
