Following much anticipation, the official release date of Vijay Deverakonda's upcoming action thriller Kingdom has been set for July 31, 2025.

The Telugu-language spy drama, which is directed by Jersey's Gowtam Tinnanuri, will feature Vijay in a previously unseen rugged role and promises thrilling action.

Fans went into a frenzy when the release date was announced along with a brand-new promo.

One of the first to cheer on the film was actress Rashmika Mandanna—long rumoured to be in a relationship with Vijay.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she wrote, “This is absolute fire  Wishing the entire team all the very best! I have a greaaat feeling about this one. Mark your calendars—31 July is going to be one big celebration!”

Her enthusiastic endorsement didn’t go unnoticed. Fans flooded the comments with praise for Rashmika’s constant support. “She’s his biggest cheerleader,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Manifesting a joint promo video with Vijay and Rashmika — it’s what the fans deserve!”

Vijay co-stars with Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev in Kingdom. A high-octane commercial entertainer with an engrossing espionage plot, the film was produced by S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the auspices of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Due to post-production delays, the film's original release date of March 30 was postponed.

A blockbuster in the making is hinted at by the most recent teaser, which features intense action scenes, captivating visuals, and Tinnanuri's trademark emotional depth.

Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna has found herself at the centre of a social media storm following a recent interview with Mojo Story. In it, she claimed, “Nobody from Coorg has ever entered the film industry before me. I think I was the first… and people were extremely judgy at the time.”

The remark prompted swift backlash, with several users pointing out that prominent actresses from Coorg, like Kannada cinema’s Prema, preceded her. One user responded, “@iamRashmika — please do your homework. Have you never heard of #Prema?”

While Rashmika has yet to respond to the controversy, her appearance in Pushpa 2 and public support for Kingdom continue to keep her in the headlines.
