Rapper Badshah reveals the iconic way he wants to be remembered in viral NYC video, watch

Rapper and singer Badshah has recently turned heads at New York Fashion Week in an Alexander Wang look, becoming the first Indian rapper to attend the event. However, the singer was exploring the streets of NYC when he engaged in a social media trend.

A video of the rapper is going viral on social media, in which a social media influencer stopped him for a Q&A session. The video started with the influencer commenting on the rapper’s outfit and asking, “What do you do for a living?”

Badshah responded, “I make music. Okay. But I curate culture and energy and translate into sound. Okay. If you know what I mean. But I make music.”

The singer then introduced himself to the audience and said, “My name is Badshah. I'm from India. Got you. Namaste to everyone who's watching.”

Badshah was asked, “What made you pursue this career?” to which he replied, “Just the fact that, I couldn't sleep in the night if anybody told me not to do this. I was like, no, I have to do this. I couldn't sleep. You're destined to do this.”

Badshah then admitted that although it is a tough job, he didn’t think it was stressful. He said, “I don't think it's stressful at all. I mean, if you love your job, nothing is stressful. Everything becomes a part of the journey. Everything becomes a part of the elements that make you. And, you know, in my job, the uniqueness is your story. It's what makes your content. So I don't think anything is stressful.”

Badshah also gave a piece of advice to the world. He said, “If you have a talent, it's a gift from God. And if you do not nurture that talent, if you don't follow it, you'll disrespect God. So it's up to you. Do you want to listen to people or do you want to listen to God?”

The video was concluded with Badhshah revealing how he wants to be remembered. He shared, “I have a song called Abhi Toh Party Shu. When I die, that's going to be written on my tombstone. The party has just begun.”

The video came amidst Badshah’s New York Fashion Week appearance as well as his sold-out Unfinished Tour across North America. He has recently shared the stage with Nora Fatehi.
