Indian rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer Badshah has sustained a corneal abrasion in his left eye during the final show of his North America tour, an injury caused by an external particle entering his eye at the start of the performance. Despite the discomfort, the 39-year-old star powered through and delivered a complete set, ensuring fans walked away with memories of a spectacular night.

Badshah later addressed the incident on Instagram with his trademark humor, posting a picture of himself wearing an eye patch and quipping, “Avtar ji ka mukka hit karta hai jaisee,” referencing his cameo in the recently released series The Bads of Bollywood.

The accident came at the close of what has been a historic run for Indian hip-hop abroad. Badshah’s Unfinished Tour grossed over $6 million (about ₹52 crores), cementing itself as the most successful desi hip-hop tour overseas. With more than 45,000 fans attending across major arenas in New Jersey, Virginia, Oakland, Seattle, Dallas, and Chicago, the tour also set new records for production value. The $2 million stage design and execution marked the most extravagant presentation ever by an Indian hip-hop act.

Special guests Nora Fatehi, Mickey Singh, and Bohemia joined Badshah on stage at different stops, while regular collaborators Aastha Gill and Badal supported throughout. The rapper also used his platform to highlight relief efforts for victims of recent natural disasters in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, reminding audiences that music can also be a tool for solidarity.

Badshah’s journey from a Rs 200 paycheck in his early days to becoming one of India’s most influential rappers underscores the significance of this milestone.
