Actor Ranveer Singh has filed an FIR with the cybercrime cell of Mumbai Police with regard to his deepfake video.
A few days ago, the 'Singham' actor had made a post on his X account asking people to be careful about 'deepfake'.
In Ranveer's case the perpetrators had used the original video of the actor from his recent Varanasi visit but the audio was generated from AI.

After seeing the video, Ranveer had Tweeted: “Deepfake se bacho dostonnnn”
Ranveer Singh’s official spokesperson issued a statement on behalf of the actor and confirmed that he has filed a police complaint.
The statement says: "Yes, we have filed the police complaint and an FIR has been lodged against the handle that was promoting the AI-generated deepfake video of Mr Ranveer Singh."
Recently Bollywood actor Aamir Khan had also filed an FIR in Mumbai after his deepfake video showing him falsely promoting a political party had gone viral.
He also filed an FIR with the cyber cell and issued a statement saying: ""We want to clarify that Mr Aamir Khan has never endorsed any political party throughout his 35-year career. He has dedicated his efforts to raising awareness through Election Commission public awareness campaigns for many past elections," the spokesperson said in a statement. "We are alarmed by the recent viral video alleging that Aamir Khan is promoting a particular political party. He would like to clarify that this is a fake video and totally untrue. He has reported the matter to various authorities related to this issue, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police."
Talking about Ranveer Singh's professional life, he will be seen in ‘Singham Again’ with Ajay Devgn, wife Deepika Padukone and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan. He also has ‘Don 3’ with Kiara Advani which is all set to release next year. There are also reports that he might be seen in Subhash Ghai's 'Khalnayak 2'.
