The anticipation for Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule has reached fever pitch as the film raced past 1 lakh ticket sales in the top national chains (PVR Inox and Cinepolis) in just one day of advance bookings.
According to Pinkvilla, as of 4 PM today, PVR Inox leads with 78,000 tickets sold, followed by Cinepolis with 32,000 tickets, bringing the total to an impressive 1.10 lakh tickets. This rapid pace places Pushpa 2 among the fastest-selling feature films in Hindi, outstripping the pre-sales performance of recent hits like Stree 2 and Animal. By Wednesday night, the film aims to surpass the pre-sales records set by blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan.
Pushpa 2 has potential to break the overall pre-sale record of Bahubali 2, which sold 6.50 lakh tickets in national multiplex chains. Achieving this would mean Pushpa 2 could dethrone the SS Rajamouli directorial's record, which has stood for seven and a half years. This speaks volumes about the massive buzz surrounding Pushpa 2. Single screens too are experiencing unprecedented activity in advance bookings.

Inarguably, the film's advance booking performance is historic, and if the positive trends continue, Pushpa 2 is poised to break several single-day records, particularly in the mass belts of North India. The film is also showing strong pre-sale numbers in metro areas, although the Hindi version's release in South India is more limited, potentially keeping the opening day record of Jawan safe.
Ultimately, the success of Pushpa 2 will hinge on word-of-mouth reviews. If the film lives up to the hype, it could achieve unprecedented numbers in the Hindi markets too.
