He pointed out that 65 percent of India's population is below the age of 35, and more than 50 percent are under 25 years old. Raghav emphasized that despite this young demographic, the political representation in India does not reflect the country's youthful population.

He provided a historical context by stating that 29 percent of the people elected to the first Lok Sabha were below the age of 40 years. However, in the last Lok Sabha (17th), only 12 percent of MPs were under 40 years. "We are a young country with old politicians. We must aspire to become a young country with young politicians," Raghav asserted. He urged the government to reduce the minimum age to contest elections in India from the current 25 years to 21 years, aiming to incentivize youth participation in politics.
