Director Farah Khan hosted a party last evening where her friends—music director Anu Malik and singer Sonu Nigam—did an impromptu music session. Sonu Nigam, Anu Malik, and Farah Khan were the judges in the first season of Indian Idol in 2004–2005. Sonu and Anu sang ‘Dekh lo idhar toh aik baar main hoon na’ from Farah Khan’s directorial venture ‘Main Hoon Na’.
In a video from the party, legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar is seen between Sonu and Anu. Farah then pans the camera to all her friends, which include Huma Qureshi, Manushi Chhillar, actor Siddarth, Huma Qureshi, Dipika Kakar and her husband Shoaib Ibrahim, Farah’s brother Sajid Khan, Rajkummar Rao with his wife, and actress Patralekhaa. Music director Salim is also seen seated as they listen to Sonu and Anu’s jugalbandi. Farah also makes a surprise appearance in her video at the end.
While sharing the video, she revealed that it was supposed to be a dinner for four, but then her other friends joined in, and they had a lovely evening. “Impromptu get-togetherness is the best! When you plan a dinner for 4, all your friends turn up, and some unexpected ones too #aboutlastnight #friends,” she wrote.
She has also started her own YouTube channel, and the first dish she made was her famous Yakhni Pulao. The most enjoyable aspect of her videos is the lively commentary she provides and how she interacts with her home and her cook.
Fans were in for a treat to hear the legend singing the song at the house of Farah Khan.
TV actor couple Dipika and Shoaib have also become close friends of Farah after the ‘Ajooni’ actor’s participation in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’s last season. Farah was one of the judges, along with Malaika Arora and Arshad Warsi.
Farah Khan’s close friend and former tennis player, Sania Mirza, also commented on the video and wrote, “Sitaaron ki mehfil”
Farah Khan was last seen as a judge on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11', which was won by Manisha Rani, who was a contestant on Bigg Boss OTT 2.
