Confirmed: Rashmika Mandanna joining the cast of Salman Khan starrer Sikandar, scheduled to released around Eid 2025

Now there's one more reason to watch 'Sikandar': Rashmika Mandanna is joining the cast of 'Ghajini' director AR Murugadoss's film opposite Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The news was confirmed earlier today on the X (formerly Twitter) account of Sajid Nadiadwala's production house Nadiadwala Grandson.

Eid 2025 release 'Sikandar' will mark the first time that Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna come together on screen. If early reports are to be believed, shooting for the action-packed film has begun.

Salman Khan has previously worked with Sajid Nadiadwala on films like 'Kick' and 'Judwaa'. Salman Khan, who announced 'Sikandar' in April 2024, was last seen on screen in 'Tiger 3' and in a cameo in 'Jawaan'. Both performances garnered appreciation from fans who lapped up this lighter, funnier side of Salman Khan even as he played the unbeatable action hero.

Rashmika Mandanna is emerging as the pan-Indian actress to watch for her powerful performances in films like 'Animal' and 'Pushpa: The Rise'. She will next be seen in 'Pushpa 2', where she is reprising her role as Srivalli opposite Allu Arjun, and 'Kubera' where she will be seen opposite south film superstar Dhanush.

Rashmika Mandanna also took to Instagram to share the "surprise" update with her fans. She wrote: "(You) guys for a long time have been asking me for the next update... and here it is... Surprise!! I am truly grateful and honoured to be a part of #Sikandar releasing in cinemas on EID 2025!"

While details of the storyline and look and feel of 'Sikandar' are yet to emerge, audiences can expect a mega saga to unfold on screen, given that the film is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala; will star Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna; and will be made on a big budget under the direction of Murugadoss.

As of now, the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment website has few details on 'Sikandar', with a simple "Stay tuned for more info" on the writer, cinematographer, editor and music director of the film, sparking curiosity around the creators of what is likely to become a massive spectacle.
