Sai Ketan Rao, born on July 10, 1994, is a notable Indian actor celebrated for his lead role as Raghav Rao in the StarPlus series "Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali." He further garnered attention portraying Raunaq Babbar (Reddy) in "Chashni" and currently takes on dual roles as Agasthya Singh Chaudhary and Surya Pratap Reddy in the StarPlus show "Imlie."
Rao began his television career with "Agni Sakshi" and has since expanded his repertoire to include Hindi and Telugu web series. His notable web series credits include "Three Half Bottles" (2019) on ZEE5, "Love Studio" (2020) on YouTube, "Lovely" (2021) on ShreyasET, and "Aham Bhramhasmi" (2021) on MX Player and Hungama Digital. In Tollywood, his filmography includes "Ajay Passayyadu" (2019), "Strangers" (2021) on Amazon Prime, and "Mounam" (2020) on Aha.

Early Life: Ketan’s humble beginnings
Born into a middle-class family in Lonavala, Maharashtra, Rao’s father is an architect from Maharashtra, while his mother, a nutritionist, hails from Hyderabad. His educational journey took him from Solapur to Pune and finally Hyderabad, where he completed his schooling at Vignan School. He then earned a B. Tech in Computer Science from the Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management, followed by an MBA in System Operations from Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management's Hyderabad campus.
His journey to success was fraught with challenges. In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, Rao shared how his family initially didn't support his acting aspirations. Despite completing his engineering and MBA degrees and landing a good job, he felt unfulfilled and decided to follow his passion for acting. He faced numerous rejections before eventually making his mark with "Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali."
Professional Pursuits:
Interestingly, Ketan is also a state-level boxer. Despite securing a job with an Australian company post-graduation, his passion for acting led him to Ramanaidu Film School, where he pursued theatre arts and subsequently worked on short films and feature films. He also founded his own film production company, Aurum Motion Pictures.

Rao enjoys a substantial social media following, and his on-screen chemistry with Adrija Roy in “Imlie" (2020) has been well-received by fans. In his new venture, he aims to reveal more of his true self to audiences through his participation in the (over the top) tense-filled reality show "Bigg Boss OTT 3.”
