A video of Zubeen Garg moments before his fatal scuba diving accident in Singapore has gone viral on social media. The 52-year-old singer was seen putting on a life jacket and preparing for his dive.

Zubeen Garg last video goes viral

Assamese singer Zubeen Garg tragically died on Friday during a scuba diving accident. However, a video of his final moment is now going viral on social media.

In the video, Zubeen Garg was seen tucking a life jacket prior to the tragedy. The video went viral online the day after he passed away in Singapore. The fatal accident happened while the 52-year-old was scuba diving.

The video captures Zubeen Garg just before his untimely demise. The singer can be seen in the video putting on a life jacket and jumping into the ocean to go swimming. He was seen preparing for his scuba diving session

Another viral video that claimed to be of Zubeen Garg shows the veteran singer in a scuba diving suit exploring the sea when he suddenly started having breathing difficulties. He was rescued from the sea and given CPR, but died at the Singapore General Hospital.


Zubeen Garg was supposed to play at the North East Festival on Saturday.

The Assam government is working to bring Zubeen Garg’s mortal remains back to India. The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has recently shared an update on the same.

He wrote, “Update- The post-mortem of our beloved Zubeen Garg has been completed in Singapore. His mortal remains are now being handed over to the accompanying team — Shri Shekar Jothi Goswami, Shri Sandeepan Garg, and Shri Siddharth Sharma (Manager) — in the presence of officers from the Indian Embassy.”


For the unversed, Zubeen Garg gained pan-Indian fame with Ya Ali from Gangster (2006), one of Bollywood's most well-known songs at the time, and was praised for bringing Assamese music to a national level.
