Anil Kapoor's next Prime Video release, 'Subedaar' begins filming

Actor Anil Kapoor has begun filming for his upcoming feature film 'Subedaar', as announced by streaming service Prime Video on Wednesday.

The action drama, directed by Suresh Triveni, known for 'Tumhari Sulu' and 'Jalsa', was announced by the streaming service in March this year.

To announce the start of filming, Amazon Prime took to their official Instagram account and wrote "From the frontlines to the home town - a fauji never backs down!  #Subedaar, Now Filming!"

Many fans and B-town friends of Anil Kapoor, wished him luck in the comment section of the post.

Anupam Kher wrote, "Congratulations! Go for it my friend" , Bhumi Pednekar was all raising hands emoji in the comments.

PLOTLINE OF SUBEDAAR

Described as an "adrenaline-fueled action drama," the film follows Subedaar Arjun Singh as he navigates civilian life, dealing with a strained relationship with his daughter and societal issues. The official plotline states, "The man who once fought for the nation must now confront enemies within to protect his home and family."

'Subedaar' is produced by Abundantia Entertainment, Opening Image, Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network Pvt. Ltd.

Triveni has penned the film in collaboration with Prajwal Chandrashekar.

Anil Kapoor was most recently seen in 'Fighter', co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, and the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer 'Animal'.
