Netflix renews Bridgerton for Seasons 5 and 6, season 4 to premiere in 2026

Popular Netflix series Bridgerton is all set to return with its exciting season 4. However, the streaming giant has already given a green light to two more seasons. The series became the fans’ favourite soon after its premiere in 2020.

However, popular romance period drama has now been renewed for Season 5 and Season 6. Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha will lead the Regency-era show of Bridgerton Season 4, which is set to premiere in 2026.

Netflix announced the renewal on its official social media handles and captioned, “NEWS: Bridgerton has been renewed for Season 5 and Season 6 — and Season 4 will premiere in 2026!”

However, the official synopsis of the upcoming season reads, “The fourth season of 'Bridgerton' turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down -- until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball.”

Meanwhile, the streaming giant has also revealed that Season 4 will feature eight episodes. Jess Brownell will serve as the showrunner and an executive producer alongside Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen.

For the unversed, the Bridgerton premiere season revolves around Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest Bridgerton daughter, and Simon Bassett (Rege-Jean Page), the Duke of Hastings. The Netflix series continues the romance plot, but this time has more focus on Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey, the eldest Bridgerton son, and Kate Sharma, played by Simone Ashley's enemies-to-lovers story.

However, season 3 was about Colin, the third Bridgerton sibling, and Penelope Featherington, portrayed by Nicola Coughlan, in a friends-to-lovers story.

Meanwhile, Bridgerton Season 4 will feature returning cast members as well as some new entries.

The cast of new season includes Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Coughlan, Newton, Victor Alli, Adjoa Andoh, Julie Andrews, Hannah Dodd, Ruth Gemmell, Florence Hunt, Martins Imhangbe, Claudia Jessie, Katie Leung, Michelle Mao, Golda Rosheuvel, Hugh Sachs, Will Tilston, Polly Walker, and Isabella Wei.
