After a rollicking teaser, the makers of Crew dropped its trailer on Saturday, and from the looks of it, this Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon starrer promises to be a roller-coaster of twists and turns and entertainment. The three leading actresses will be seen together on the silver screen together for the first time in this Rajesh A Krishnan-directorial and were present at the trailer launch of the film.
From the get-go, it is established that the three airhostesses played by these actresses are not exactly in the best of situations financially. The airline company they work for has gone bankrupt and they must resort to desperate measures and come up with a plan. The trailer shows Khan’s impeccable comic timing with Tabu getting some of the quirkiest lines and choicest Hindi swear words as their plan goes awry. Sanon brings on the fun and the glamour, adding her delightful charm to the situational comedy.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Dressed in a figure-hugging black dress at the launch, Khan said that she is super excited about the movie and for sharing screen space with powerhouse performer Tabu for the first time as well as the supremely talented Kriti.
When asked how it was to work with the two stalwarts, Kriti said it was refreshing working with women as opposed to sharing screen space with men all the time. “We all look up to them for what they bring to the table and the way in which they have been re-inventing themselves and how!” she said. She added that people are loving their chemistry on-screen, sharing that there is no male-bashing in the film but just pure comedy and fun.
Kriti Sanon at the trailer launch of Crew
Scheduled to release on March 29, 2024, Crew has a stellar cast. The trailer also points to a compelling narrative. The story seems topical, too, given that the airline industry has seen its fair share of turbulence in recent years. Shot in diverse locations across India, with Mumbai taking centre stage, the film is backed by Balaji Telefilms and Anil Kapoor Film & Communications Network. This much-anticipated project is helmed by director Rajesh A Krishnan of Lootcase fame. And with this much star power buckled in, it looks like it could be an exciting ride.
