Recently, Raveena Tandon found herself embroiled in a road rage incident that garnered widespread attention after reports surfaced alleging that she verbally abused and physically assaulted three individuals during a late-night altercation in Bandra, Mumbai. The incident reportedly unfolded on Carter Road, near Rizvi College, where Tandon purportedly clashed with pedestrians.
In a viral internet video capturing the confrontation, Tandon can be seen vehemently defending herself against accusations of reckless driving and hitting pedestrians. She is heard pleading, "Please don't hit him," as she tries to shield her driver from the escalating situation. Witnesses present at the scene can be seen calling for police intervention, with one individual claiming to have been physically assaulted by Tandon.
Days following the incident, Tandon took to social media to address the controversy, expressing gratitude to her followers on Instagram stories for their unwavering support and faith in her character. She remarked, "Thank you for the overwhelming love, belief, and support! Moral of the story? Get dashcams and CCTVs now!"
However, a man who provided a detailed account of the incident in another online video alleged that Tandon's driver had run over his mother while she, along with her sister and niece, were walking past Tandon's residence. He claimed that upon confronting the driver, Tandon rushed out of the car in an inebriated state and proceeded to assault his niece and mother, resulting in severe injuries. Despite their efforts, he alleged that the authorities at the Khar Police Station refused to file a First Information Report (FIR) against Tandon.
On the work front, Raveena recently showcased her talent in the Disney+ Hotstar series 'Karmma Calling' and 'Patna Shuklla'. Her upcoming movie, 'Welcome to the Jungle', features an impressive ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Shreyas Talpade, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Lara Dutta, Akshay Kumar, and Disha Patani. Anticipated as the third instalment in the beloved Welcome franchise, the film is set to hit theatres during the festive Christmas season in 2024.
