Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut offered her support to peer Raveena Tandon after she was attacked on a Mumbai road. Kangana took to her Instagram story on Monday, and wrote an angry message toward the perpetrators of Tandon’s attack and called the incident "absolutely alarming.”
Kangana Ranaut’s Instagram story read - "What happened to Raveena Tandon ji is absolutely alarming; had there been 5-6 more people in the opposite group, she would have been lynched; we condemn such road rage outbursts; those people must be reprimanded. They must not get away with such violent and poisonous behaviour.”
The incident took place in Bandra on Saturday night. Raveena’s driver was accused of hitting someone with their car. Reportedly, Raveena got out of the car to soothe the crowd during which she was pushed and hit. In the video, Raveena can be seen saying “Don’t hit me.”
In the viral video, people are accusing Tandon and her driver of allegedly assaulting a woman and causing her nose to bleed. In the video, a man accused her driver of hitting his mother with the car and that Raveena Tandon was under the influence of alcohol when she stepped out of the vehicle and started hitting the women.
Reports say that the Mumbai Police, during their investigation, declared that Raveena’s car did not hit anyone.
The CCTV footage of the incident was released which revealed that the women were standing close to Raveena Tandon’s car but were not hit by it. The car reversed slowly and carefully without harming anyone.
No FIR has been registered but a station diary entry has been filed at the Khar Police Station in Mumbai.
After the incident, both parties involved visited the police station and submitted their written statements and deciding to hold no grievances against each other.
