In an update to his fans, Mukesh Khanna said that he did, in fact, meet Ranveer Singh, who spent up to three hours in his office.

Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, who had played the role of Shaktimaan in the hit 1997 show, released a video today saying that no actor has been finalized yet to play the role of Shaktimaan in the new movie.

Mukesh Khanna had criticized Ranveer Singh a few months ago and called him out for the nude photoshoot that the actor had done. He had also said that Ranveer Singh was not apt to play the role of the Indian superhero Shaktimaan.

Now, Mukesh Khanna has updated his fans, saying he did meet Ranveer Singh, who was at his office for as many as three hours. He called Ranveer Singh a dynamic personality but confirmed that Ranveer has not been finalized for Shaktimaan.

He released two videos to confirm that yes, he has praised Ranveer Singh and called him 'dynamic' and energetic.'

Unlike his old videos, where Mukesh was seen condemning the actor when news of Ranveer bagging the lead role in the upcoming trilogy came, he is seen praising the actor.

In his video, Mukesh said, "He had posted a video asking fans to give the name of an actor they would want to see as the next 'Shaktimaan'. He said many users have mentioned two names: Mohit Raina and Vidyut Jamwal. He further said that many South African actors' names have also been mentioned by fans.

"Ever since I said that I was making Shaktimaan, some of the fans have asked me to play it onscreen. They are arguing that if Rajinikanth and Arnold Schwarzenegger can do it, then why can't you? I am very touched by the love and the confidence that you all have," he says.

Talking about his meeting with Ranveer, he shared a few pictures in his video and said, "There were reports that Ranveer Singh had met to meet me. These aren't rumors; yes, he did come to meet me; he is a very nice gentleman. Lekin kuch baatein chupane ki hoti hai, and jisse waqt aane par bataya jata hai. Toh kya hua, kya ghata, woh detail nahi bataonga, but ye baat sach hai that he came and met us. It was a good conversation that lasted for 3 hours. I wish him luck in his career; he is a very dynamic person. The most energetic actor in the industry is Ranveer Singh, as I told him earlier over the phone. I want to say we haven't decided on the final actor for the role of Shaktimaan."

Today he again posted a video clarifying that he has not said anywhere that Ranveer Singh has been finalized to play the role of 'Shaktimaan'.

"I never said that Ranveer Singh was going to play the role of Shaktimaan," he ended his short video.

'Shaktimaan' is likely to be a superhero trilogy on the silver screen and is going to be directed by Basil Joseph of 'Minnal Murali' fame.

Minnal Murali was a 2021 Malayalam-language superhero film, and it was loved by the audience.
