Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala is a huge fan of the South Indian famed actor, Kamal Hassan. And recently the stars reunited after many years. Manisha shared her joy at reconnecting with her esteemed co-star through a heartfelt post on her Instagram profile.
She wrote a heartfelt message expressing her admiration for Kamal, whom she considers her 'idol' and with whom she enjoys engaging in lengthy conversations. The two had previously starred together in Shankar's acclaimed 1996 film "Indian," whose sequel is set to premiere on July 12.
In her Instagram post, Manisha shared a photo of herself in a white salwar kameez alongside Kamal, who was dressed in a black jumper and jeans. She reminisced about the profound impact Kamal has had on her, mentioning, One of the brilliant minds that I had an opportunity to work with..books and films n now fashion is his world !! He recommended amazing books which stretches one’s mind & soul..his unique & deep observations on life amazed me decades ago.”
Manisha continued, “His cinematic understanding is unparalleled.. I can have long hours of conversation with him or rather listen to him talk for hours..thank you @ikamalhaasan ji for all that you do and all that you are!! Additionally, Manisha shared on her Instagram stories that she watched "Kalki 2898 AD" and loved it, captioning her post, “Watched #Kalki #LovedTheFilm #MovieDayOut.”
Fans flooded the comments section, expressing their excitement at the prospect of seeing 'Ishwarya and Chandrabose aka Chandru' collaborate again on screen. “One of the best combos in the industry. Please do another movie together,” commented one fan, while another added, Want to see the both in theatre again..how lovely they both are.” Another fan also wrote, “Two best actors in one frame.”
Some fans wished to see Manisha in the future installments of "Kalki" or "Indian." Meanwhile, Kamal starred as Supreme Yaskin in Nag Ashwin's dystopian film "Kalki 2898 AD" and will soon be seen in Shankar’s "Indian 2" and Mani Ratnam’s "Thug Life.”
