Bollywood actress Kiara Advani recently made her Cannes Film Festival debut. The actress represented India at the Red Sea Film Foundation's Women in Cinema Gala dinner at the 77th Cannes.

The interviewer asked Kiara Advani what her experience is like being at the Cannes Film Festival.
Advani replied by saying, “Well, firstly, I am extremely excited. Very honoured. We have been watching, through the Internet, everything about the Cannes film festival.”
She also recalled the last time that she was in Cannes. She revealed that her family and her visited Cannes about 20 years ago, when she was just a kid.
She reminisced about seeing a huge poster of the 2000s iconic film ‘Charlie’s Angels’.
“Here I am today. Who knew at that point that I’d be here? I’m here for the Women in Cinema initiative.”
She called the experience of being invited among the other honourees as “very humbling”.
The interviewer remarked that Advani has been in the film industry for 10 years now.
To this, the actress said, “It’s overwhelming to say the least. The journey has been exciting and thrilling at the same time.”
“I think it’s great for my tenth year, I’m here on a global level,” she added.
When asked about what Kiara's statement - “Risk Meet Commercial” - actually means, the actress said, "I have always wanted to do action movies, so when this came my way I decided to do it with the best team. I want to put my own unique spin to it. While I am craving to do the films that I can completely shoulder independently, I feel its also important for me to have my voice seen and heard in a big blockbuster film.”
Kiara also spoke about not wanting to accidentally become an insignificant accessory in big movies.
“See, I would never want to be a part of a film where if you take my character out of the film, the story can still move forward.”
The interviewer also appreciated Advani’s instincts saying, “You’ve made radical choices.”
Kiara Advani will be starring in the upcoming film titled ‘Game Changer’ and the sequel for action movie ‘War’.
