Becoming one of the most talked about couples in Hollywood, Jennifer Lopez and husband Ben Affleck have been facing issues in their marriage. The couple have been making headlines recently due to persistent divorce rumors. And recently in a new interview that was reportedly shot before Affleck started living separately, the actor had nothing but sweet things to say about his wife.
During his appearance on the season 4 premiere of Kevin Hart’s “Hart to Heart,” Affleck, 51, discussed his life under the public eye, highlighting the stark difference in how fans react to him compared to his wife, Jennifer Lopez. Ben described Jennifer's popularity as “F****n Bananas.” He remarked on how deeply she resonates with people, saying, “We went somewhere with Jennifer—I can't remember because she's so famous and she creates this... People love her, and she really represents something important to people." He humorously added, “[To me,] people are like, ‘Hey, I like your movie,' and then they're like ‘AAAHHHH! J-LO!'”
The Good Will Hunting actor recounted a story about his family's trip to Times Square, where Lopez was quickly swarmed by admirers.“We get out of the car, we were going to a play, and I was like, ‘F—k it, babe, we're going to be late, we gotta walk a block and a half.' [Lopez] was like, ‘Alright,' she didn't say s—t.” He continued, “We get out with her, all the kids, through Times Square, and the s—t was like f—n' bananas.’”
Before his marriage to Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck was married to actress Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. He is also the stepfather to Lopez's 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony.
On Father's Day, Ben spent time with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who visited his home according to a report by Page Six. Meanwhile, JLo honored Affleck with a heartfelt Father's Day post on Instagram Stories, sharing a black-and-white throwback photo of him and captioning it, “Our hero Happy Father's Day,” along with a white heart.
Prior to this, DailyMail.com reported that Lopez was reportedly fed up with Affleck's “grumpy” behavior. A source claimed, “Jenny has had enough and she really tried but she can do no more, it's not getting any better, it's worse…If people could see what she has really gone through they would be easier on her.”
Despite ongoing rumors about marital issues and separate living arrangements, Affleck didn’t touch on these topics, probably because the interview occurred before such speculation arose. However, he did explain his often 'grumpy' appearance in public, which contrasts with Lopez's love for the limelight. Addressing this directly, Affleck explained that he sometimes looks annoyed in paparazzi photos because he’s "a little bit shy."
"I don’t like a lot of attention. This is why people see me and they’re like, ‘Why is this dude always mad?’ Because someone had their camera sticking in my face, and I’m like, ‘OK, here we go,” Affleck said.
