Jennifer Lopez’s ‘love addiction’ is reportedly part of the reason why her and Ben Affleck are hurtling toward divorce.
In the latest episode of ‘TMZ Investigates,’ titled ‘JLo & Ben: Missed Warning Signs,’ featured interviews of film producer Jon Peters and Dr. Drew Pinsky who theorised that Lopez could be addicted to love.
“She’s a love and sex addict, look at the men she’s been with,” Peters said, noting the fact that Lopez has been through 3 divorces and one broken engagement.
He continued, “She can't be alone. She needs a man in her life, she has never spent any real time developing herself. And her career is in the [censored]. And she's talented.”
Dr. Pinsky, a television personality and addiction specialist, agreed with Peters’ statements and revealed that “there are actually thousands of people engaged in 12-step programs who identify as love addicted.”
He continued, “The features of that include not having great boundaries, they tend to get sucked into relationships readily and easily, they fall hard for people, and once they go in they can't get themselves out.”
Earlier, Lopez canceled her ‘This Is Me... Live Tour’ which fans speculated was because of low ticket sales and the ongoing separation with her husband.
“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” she said.
Reports suggest that the high profile couple have been living separately since weeks now. These speculations were given more wind when their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion showed up on a real estate site for sale.
It was also reported that Ben Affleck “checked out” as their “honeymoon phase has worn off”as their way of living was vastly different.
A source revealed, “Of course Jenny is sad, she loves Ben, but they are just too different, there is no give and take, there was no blending, they are just on separate tracks.”
