Hollywood’s Anne Hathaway who wore a custom-made white shirt dress by GAP that caught the world’s eyes for its classic style with a modern twist. The brand is reportedly launching a version of the dress to the public.

On May 20, Anne Hathaway dazzled everyone at the Bulgari Aeterna High Jewelry Event in Rome, showcasing a striking all-white ensemble from Gap. Renowned for her glamorous fashion choices, Hathaway wore a bespoke poplin shirtdress crafted by Gap Inc.’s new creative director, Zac Posen. This chic piece will be available for pre-order on Gap.com starting May 28.

The White Poplin Shirtdress, made from 100% organic cotton, is priced at $158. Available exclusively online and in limited quantities, it will come in sizes 00 to 16. The pre-sale kicks off at 12 PM Eastern/9 AM Pacific on Tuesday, May 28, with orders set to ship in July.

For her complete look, celebrity stylist Erin Walsh paired Hathaway’s deconstructed dress with white pumps, a semi-sheer corset, and mini shorts, complemented by stunning Bulgari jewelry.

To enhance your summer wardrobe, Gap will launch its white summer classics collection on Wednesday, May 29. This collection features essential pieces such as white blouses, t-shirts, jeans, chinos, and dresses. Additionally, you can still find items from the highly popular Gap x Dôen capsule collection online.

Hathaway’s GAP dress drew inspiration from the Audrey Hepburn classic ‘Roman Holiday’. “It’s a modern look, inspired by the iconic Audrey Hepburn film, Roman Holiday,” the release statement of the brand read.

The gown sought to emulate the iconic design of the Gap's classic shirt collar and placket, infusing it with a feminine flair through waist darting and a matching corset.

This floor-length, one-shoulder dress featured shirt-like buttons running down its length. Beneath the dress, Hathaway wore a semi-sheer corset paired with custom-made, pleated shorts. She accessorized the ensemble with a silver purse and white pumps.
