Actress Mouni Roy, who became well-known for her iconic performance in Naagin, has frequently been the target of trolling on social media. The actress has received a good deal of criticism for her appearance and public persona. But she is not deterred.
During a recent encounter, Mouni calmly and confidently silenced the criticism. When questioned about how she responds to such hateful comments on the internet
The Brahmāstra actor told paps, “Kuch nahin. Dekhti hee nahi. Let everyone do their job…I do not pay attention to such remarks. If you hide behind a screen to troll others and if you find happiness in that so be it."
Mouni recently attracted attention after sharing a reel on Instagram, where she sported a sleek strapless black gown and fresh bangs. The video, set to the track “Hit The Bucket”, received significant traction.
While many people complimented her appearance, others conjectured that she might have had cosmetic procedures, such as Botox for her forehead or possibly another lip enhancement, because of what they believed to be a dent.
Mouni is still committed to her career in spite of the rumors. She will play the role of "Mohabbat," a terrifying ghost, in the upcoming horror action comedy The Bhootnii.
What makes her role even more intriguing is that Mouni has performed all her own stunts. She shared, “I have performed all my stunts myself in the film. I am thankfully trained and have become used to wearing harnesses and doing stunts, thanks to my previous work. So it was a rather easy process. I think stunts are a form of choreography and I consider myself a decent dancer and a quick learner. And, shooting for 2 full seasons of a supernatural TV show (Naagin) and an entire fantasy fiction film (Brahmastra) gave me all the training needed for The Bhootnii. Not to mention, the film had an amazing stunt team, and my co-stars were great."
Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari, Beyounick, and Aasif Khan, The Bhootnii is scheduled for release on 18th April 2025.
