Mohanlal pays special tribute to Mammootty on his birthday, wears shirt featuring latter's pics

Proving their strong friendship over the years, on Mammootty's special day, Mohanlal paid him tribute by wearing a special shirt.

As several fans and celebrities poured in their heartfelt wishes on teh occasion of Mollywood superstar Mammootty's 74th birthday today, September 7, actor Mohanlal also paid a special tribute to the actor in an adorable way.

Mohanlal and Mammootty are considered as two stalwarts of the South Indian film industry, especially for their tremendous work in Malayalam films for more than four decades.

Proving their strong friendship over the years, on Mammootty's special day, Mohanlal paid him tribute by wearing a special shirt. On Bigg Boss Malayalam's Sunday episode, Mohanlal, who hosts the show wore a bright colourful shirt featuring several iconic and special photos of Mammootty.

Asianet channel, which airs Bigg Boss Malayalam shared a video on Instagram on Sunday featuring Mohanlal wearing that shirt. During the video, Mohanlal is seen saying, “Dear Mammukka, I wish you a happy birthday on behalf of me, Asianet team and Bigg Boss team.”

Several fans took to social media platforms, praising Mohanlal for his feat and applauding their friendship and respect for each other. Adding to fans' excitement, Mohanlal and Mammootty will be collaborating soon in a new film titled Patriot. It will also star Fahadh Faasil.
