Mammootty thanks his fans lined up in front of his Kochi residence on his 74th birthday: Watch

Malayalam legend Mammootty celebrated his 74th birthday by greeting fans who gathered outside his Kochi residence. The actor thanked them warmly, calling their love the most special gift of the day.

On Sunday, Mammootty shared a photo of himself on X, looking out at the sea while relaxing against his car as he acknowledged the kind words that fans were sending him.

Malayalam actor Mammootty marks his 74th birthday today. In a heartfelt gesture, the superstar spoke to his fans who lined up in front of his residence in Kochi and expressed gratitude for making his day more special.

On Sunday, Mammootty shared a photo of himself on X, looking out at the sea while relaxing against his car as he acknowledged the kind words that fans were sending him. With the caption, "Love and Thanks to All and The Almighty," the seasoned actor conveyed his appreciation.

A touching moment between Mammootty and his fans was also caught on camera. The audience erupts in cheers and birthday wishes as soon as the superstar says a happy "hello" after a staff member is heard urging him to greet his fans. Mammootty expresses his happiness at the unwavering love he continues to receive by sincerely thanking them for their support and affection.

Several fans took to social media and wish the veteran actor on his birthday. One fan wrote, "Happy Birthday to the greatest actor Indian cinema has ever produced. Forever a proud fanboy...!Thank you for existing,@mammukka." Another fan wrote, "The Greatest there was ,the Greatest there is and the Greatest there will be , Happy Birthday to the Titan of Indian Cinema - #Mammookka."

The actor had fallen sick recently following which he took a break from acting. But to much of everyone's relief, his team then confirmed that he is fine now and has recovered.

Mammootty is one of the most versatile and talented actors in the Malayalam film industry. He is one of the most renowned actors in Indian cinema, having acted in over 400 films over the course of five decades. He has won seven Kerala State Film Awards and three National Film Awards for Best Actor. The Government of India also awarded him the Padma Shri in appreciation of his contributions to society and cinema.

Meanwhile, on the work front, he will be next seen in the film Patriot, co-starring Mohanlal and Fahadh Faasil. He also has another project in lineup, produced by himself and directed by Jithin K Jose, titled Kalamkaval. It is expected to hit the theatres on October 9.
