India’s stunning victory against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai sent waves of celebration across the country, and Bollywood and South Indian cinema stars were among the loudest voices cheering for the Men in Blue. From legendary actors like Mammootty and Amitabh Bachchan to younger stars like Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, celebrities flooded social media with messages of pride and joy, reflecting the collective euphoria of a nation that lives and breathes cricket.

Mammootty, one of Indian cinema’s most respected icons, was quick to post on X (formerly Twitter). Sharing a celebratory picture, he wrote, “Team India didn’t just win the Asia Cup, they owned it. Champions without a single defeat. Absolutely magnificent!” His words captured the dominance of India’s unbeaten campaign.

Veteran actor Anil Kapoor kept it short but impactful, echoing the sentiments of millions: “India Zindabad.” Sometimes, simplicity speaks the loudest, and his note perfectly embodied the national mood.

Anupam Kher, known for wearing his heart on his sleeve, recorded an Instagram video where he punched the air and repeatedly chanted, “Bharat Mata ki jai!” He added, “Kya baat hai! What a game! Oh my God. Jeetenge bhai jeetenge. Khush ho gaya dil. Superb. Proud of my country, proud of this cricket team. Fantastic, very well played. God bless them.” His high-energy reaction video quickly went viral, reflecting the raw passion of cricket fandom.

Preity Zinta, co-owner of an IPL team and a lifelong cricket enthusiast, tweeted her excitement: “Wow !!! What a game. CONGRATULATIONS to Team India for winning the Asia Cup! Thank you, Tilak, Shivam & Kuldeep, for this thrilling victory.” Her special mention of the young guns underlined the role of fresh talent in shaping the triumph.

At a promotional event for their film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan brought patriotic energy to the fore. Varun teased Janhvi to repeat her earlier patriotic chant, and she responded on cue with “Bharat mata ki jai!” Posting the clip online, she cheekily captioned it: “Before you’ll edit the vid and post out of context, but we won!!!! Sanskari style celebration!!!!! #IndiaWon.”

Amitabh Bachchan joined in with his trademark humor. Referring to Shoaib Akhtar’s slip-up where he confused Abhishek Sharma with Abhishek Bachchan, Big B wrote, “Jeet gaye !! Well played ‘Abhishek Bachchan’. Udar jabaan ladkhadai, aur udhar bina batting bowling fielding kiye, ladkhada diya dushman ko!! Bolti bandh!! Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! Jai Maa Durga!!!!” His post lit up timelines, blending cricket victory with sharp wit.

Ranveer Singh shared a WhatsApp message he had sent before the game: “It’s Tilak’s moment, let’s go!!!” Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda took to social media with: “Indiaaaaaaaa. Our boy killed it,” cheering for Tilak Verma’s standout performance.

The Asia Cup 2025 final was more than just a cricket match—it was a cultural moment. From megastars of cinema to young actors on the rise, the wave of congratulatory messages proved how deeply cricket connects India. For the fans, and for the stars celebrating with them, the victory was a reminder of the magic that unfolds when sport, pride, and emotion collide.
