Mannara Chopra organises a prayer meet after her father's death in Mumbai

Former Bigg Boss contestant and actress Mannara Chopra’s father, Raman Rai Handa, passed away on June 16. He was 72. The actress was left devastated by her father’s death, who was also the uncle of Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra.

Mannara’s father’s prayer meet was held on Thursday. In the video, Mannara is seen placing flowers in front of her father's photo during the prayer service held at a Gurudwara in Mumbai.

Priyanka and Parineeti didn't attend Mannara's father's prayer service or his last rites as they are in the US and the UK, respectively. Meanwhile, Priyanka's brother, Siddharth Chopra, was spotted at the prayer meet to support Mannara.

TV actor Abhishek Kumar was also seen at the prayer meet held in the Gurudwara. However, several other celebrities and Mannara's industry friends, including Karan Veer Mehra, Sudesh Lehri, Manjot Singh, singer Khanzaadi, and others, attended the Uthala ceremony of Mannara's late father.

The latest video of the actress came after several clips from her father’s last rites went viral on social media. The last rites took place on June 18 at 1 pm at the Crematorium Ground in Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai. Mannara was seen crying and almost fainted following the devastating news.

However, Mannara and her sister Mithali Chopra carried their father's bier to the crematorium. The actress is yet to officially reveal the reason for his death, but the initial reports suggested that he was not well for the last few days.

The actress took to her Instagram Story and informed her fans about her father’s death. She wrote, “With profound grief and sorrow, we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family.”

For the unversed, Raman Rai Handa was a lawyer at the Delhi High Court. He is survived by his wife, Kamini, and daughters Mannara and Mitali.
