Maa Box Office Collection Day 3: Kajol starrer mints Rs 6.75 Cr on first Sunday, takes total to Rs 17.40 Cr

Maa Box Office Collection: Kajol starrer mythological horror wraps up its first weekend with over Rs 17 crore. The film now eyes to cross Rs 20 crore mark.

Kajol starrer Maa sees a surge at the weekend box office collection

Kajol starrer mythological horror, Maa, hit the theatres on Friday with decent numbers. However, the film performed well at the box office in its first weekend. The film saw a surge on Sunday and is hoping to add more numbers.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Maa collected Rs 6.75 crore net in India on its third day. The total collection now stands at Rs 17.40 crore net in India. The film had an overall 31.17% Hindi Occupancy with 10.71% in morning shows, 35.57% in afternoon shows, 46.68% in evening shows and 31.71% in night shows.

The film is receiving tough competition from Vishnu Manchu’s film Kannappa, as it has grossed Rs 23.75 crore net in India over the same period.

Meanwhile, Maa opened with a decent collection of Rs 4.65 crore net in India on June 27. The film collected Rs 10.65 crore net in India on its second day.

Directed by Vishal Furia, Maa opened in the theatres with mixed reviews from the critics and the audience. The film is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande and Kumar Mangat Pathak and stars Kajol as the protective and fierce mother who becomes Kali in order to protect her daughter and to end a demonic curse rooted in fear, blood, and betrayal.

Besides Kajol, the latest mythological horror also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, and Kherin Sharma in the pivotal roles.

Maa revolves around a mother, played by Kajol, and her daughter as they encounter a demon in a village where girls have been disappearing.
