Kim became visibly agitated when one of her security guards unintentionally stepped on the trailing hem of her ornate gown.

Kim Kardashian made a spectacular entrance at the 2025 Met Gala on May 5, but not before an unanticipated incident. An awkward situation arose as she and her 11-year-old daughter North West were ready to depart the opulent Ritz-Carlton hotel in New York City.

Kim became visibly agitated when one of her security guards unintentionally stepped on the trailing hem of her ornate gown. The guard was reprimanded by the reality star and the incident immediately attracted the attention of both cameras and bystanders. Kim quickly recovered her composure and went on to the biggest night in fashion, despite the brief tension.

In a Tik Tok video which has now gone viral on the internet, Kim Kardashian can be seen leaving the hotel for the Met Gala venue in a black gown, when she almost tripped after one of the security personnel accidentally stepped on the long train of her custom Chrome Hearts black gown.

Kardashian shook off the blip with a flip of her hair, seemingly maintaining a serious attitude and it seemed that she gave the man a furious look.

With a dramatic hair flip and a stern expression, Kim Kardashian quickly recovered from the brief slip that occurred when her security guard stepped on her gown.

As the heated conversation progressed, she seemed to sternly ask the guard, "Can you watch where you step?" according to professional lip reader Nicola Hickling.

Kim also shared pictures of her stunning look at the Met Gala 2025's red carpet on Instagram. The caption read, "MET GALA 2025 CHROME HEARTS."

Meanwhile, her daughter North West turned heads in a stylish cow-print outfit as they made their way out of The Mark.
