The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 began with rollover contestant Dipti Singh from Kolkata, West Bengal, who fulfilled a lifelong dream of meeting Amitabh Bachchan and sitting on the iconic hot seat. As she joined the show, Dipti shared that she had always imagined the moment when Big B would hold her hand and guide her to the hot seat. Her husband, who accompanied her, introduced himself as a banker, prompting Big B to smile and remark, "It is a very good designation." He praised Amitabh Bachchan's legendary career, highlighting his ability to continuously reinvent himself. Responding with humility, Big B shared, "Sir, yeh jo shabd hain na, hum kayi baar sun chuke hain... jidhar naukri miti hai hum haanth jod lete hain, aisa nahi ke hum jaan bujhke badal rahe hain. Ek jagah naukri band hogayi, toh dhoondhte hain hum."

The game commenced with Dipti confidently tackling the first question for Rs.20,000: "Who among these is also known as Uma, Haimavati, and Gauri?" Without hesitation, Dipti correctly chose Option D) Goddess Parvati. She revealed that she had always dreamed of Mr. Bachchan continuously praising her during the game, imagining him saying, "Dipti ji, aap kamaal khel rahi hain, aap adbhut hain." True to her wish, Big B graciously fulfilled it, praising her gameplay.

Dipti continued her impressive streak, quickly reaching the Rs.3,20,000 question: "Born to a poet in Varanasi, which playwright wrote under the pen name, 'Rasa'?" She confidently selected Option C) Bharatendu Harishchandra, which was correct. Next, she participated in the 'Super Sandook' segment, where she successfully answered seven questions and won Rs.70,000. Since she still had all her lifelines intact, the amount was credited to her account.

The next question for Rs.6,40,000 was: "The Blossom Showers of Kerala refer to the rains associated with the blooming of the flowers of which of these plants?" Unsure of the answer, Dipti opted to use the 'Audience Poll' lifeline and correctly chose Option B) Coffee.

As the episode continued, Dipti presented Big B with a beautiful rose, saying, "Ye phool main laayi thi apne sapno ke raja ke liye, joh roz mere sapno mein aate hain. Aap mujhe ek dijiye" (I brought this flower for the king of my dreams, who visits me in my dreams every day. Please give one to me). Mr. Bachchan, visibly moved by the gesture, recited a touching shayari from his film Silsila, creating an emotional moment that resonated with everyone present.

As Dipti advanced to the Rs.12,50,000 question, she faced the query: "What is the name of the planet-like body that is believed to have crashed into the Earth, resulting in the creation of the moon?" Unsure, she used the 'Video Call a Friend' lifeline, but without gaining any help, she decided to quit the game. Before leaving, she guessed Option D) Theia, which turned out to be correct, ending her journey on a high note.

She takes home the amount of Rs 6,40,000. In the second fastest finger first round, Khushbu Mitry and Shalini Sharma get to challenge each other. Shalini takes the hotseat.

She is from Delhi and sits barefoot as it was her mannat. Big B requests her to wear slippers but she spoke about offering puja after going back home.

Shalini’s 18-year-old son Chinmay Sharma has been struggling with health challenges like frequent seizures and autism, since birth, and Shalini, who has deep faith in the Almighty, has made her journey to the hot seat barefoot as part of a vow she undertook for her son. She aims to win substantial funds to ensure that Chinmay receives the support and care he deserves. Moved by Shalini’s journey, host Amitabh Bachchan also extended his support to her, encouraging her to share her son's medical reports so that he could explore ways to facilitate the treatment her son requires.

She shared that many people also advised her to apply her for mercy killing for her son. She says, “We don’t know if there are any possibilities for hiss treatment.” Big B also requested her to send her son’s report in order to check with his doctors.
