The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 delivered yet another thrilling session, featuring UPSC aspirant Naman Jain from Gwalior. Naman's journey on the hot seat was filled with excitement, strategic lifeline usage, and a crucial misstep that cost him the Rs 3,20,000 prize.

Naman Jain, a young aspirant with dreams of clearing the UPSC exam, was introduced to the audience by the show's iconic host, Amitabh Bachchan. Before diving into the game, Naman shared his motivations for participating in the quiz show. He explained that he saw KBC as a platform to apply his extensive knowledge, while also using it as a backup plan due to the tough competition in government exams.

Naman, who first completed his MBA, took a corporate job to finance his studies. He revealed how self-reliant he has become due to his father’s teachings, mentioning that even though his family is financially stable, he prefers to handle his responsibilities independently. Naman shared, "I took Rs 15 lakh loan for my studies, and I've already paid off half. The remaining balance is still pending."

The episode kicked off with Naman facing a Rs 10,000 question: What name is given to the button on an alarm clock that stops and resets the alarm to allow for more rest? The correct answer was Option D) Snooze, and Naman confidently got it right.

He continued his streak by answering the 'Super Sawal' correctly. The question asked, In which year was the Rowlatt Act passed in British India? Naman chose 1919, securing his position and progressing to the next round with Rs 40,000 in his account.

Naman encountered his first roadblock with the Rs 80,000 question: The 'tab' in the tab key of the keyboard is a shortened form of what? Unsure of the answer, Naman decided to use the 'Audience Poll' lifeline. The audience helped guide him to the correct answer: Option D) Tabulator. With that, Naman won Rs 80,000.

Next, Naman selected the ‘Dugnastra’ lifeline for his Rs 1,60,000 question, which allowed him to double his winnings if he answered correctly. The question was, Which pair of states signed an agreement for the Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project? Naman confidently chose Option A) Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan, and it turned out to be the right choice, doubling his winnings to Rs 1,60,000.

The tension escalated when Naman faced the Rs 3,20,000 question: In July 2024, which Indian warship was severely damaged after a fire on board? Unsure of the correct answer, Naman used the 'Video Call A Friend' lifeline. Unfortunately, his younger brother, whom he called for assistance, couldn't provide the right answer.

Taking a gamble, Naman opted for Option D) INS Sahyadri. However, to his disappointment, the correct answer was Option B) INS Brahmaputra. As a result, Naman's winnings dropped to Rs 10,000. However, since he had won the Rs 1,60,000 bonus earlier, he took home a total of Rs 1,70,000.

As Naman made his exit from the show, Amitabh Bachchan lightened the mood with a joke, advising Naman to scold his younger brother for not helping him out.

After Naman's departure, the Karamveer special episode commenced, featuring Dr. Abhay Bang and Dr. Rani Bang, renowned for their work in transforming healthcare for tribal communities in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The couple, both Padma Shri awardees, shared their inspiring journey with Amitabh Bachchan and the audience.

A video highlighting the couple's remarkable contributions to rural healthcare was played, showcasing the Maa Danteshwari Hospital, which they founded. The hospital provides modern medical care while respecting Adivasi traditions, a perfect blend of global thinking and local action.

During the episode, Dr. Abhay shared an emotional anecdote about his father, a Gold Medalist in Economics, who chose to dedicate his life to rural service instead of pursuing studies in the US, after receiving blessings from Mahatma Gandhi. Dr. Rani Bang added that their hospital is designed to create a comforting environment that caters to the local community's specific needs.

The episode wasn’t all serious, as a light-hearted moment emerged when Big B asked Dr. Abhay what he enjoys eating. Dr. Abhay responded with, "Joh Rani banati hai," drawing laughter from the audience. Rani revealed that she is originally from Telangana and cooks various dishes, but Dr. Abhay’s cooking expertise extends only to making tea. Big B jokingly chimed in, saying, “Sir, aapko toh chai banana aata hai, humko toh sirf garam paani banana aata hai, aur kuch nahi aata,” prompting even more laughter.

Dr. Abhay and Dr. Rani Bang skillfully navigated through the questions on the show. They used the 'Audience Poll' lifeline to answer the Rs 1,60,000 question: Which actor took charge as the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh in June 2024? They correctly answered Option A) Shri Pawan Kalyan.

They also pressed the buzzer for the 'Dugnastra' lifeline and correctly answered the Rs 3,20,000 question: Which of these districts of Maharashtra does not share a border with the state shown in the image? Their choice of Option C) Buldhana won them the bonus amount of Rs 3,20,000.

The hooter rang, signaling the end of the episode, and Dr. Abhay and Dr. Rani Bang took home Rs 25 lakh, which they announced would be donated to their organization, 'Search.'
