Panchayat Season 5 will premiere next year

Fans’ favourite Amazon Prime Video comedy-drama, Panchayat, is returning for Season 5. The official social media handle of the streaming platform gave a green light to the new season and announced the exciting update.

The announcement post included a new poster of the series featuring the series’ lead cast members. Alongside the poster, the announcement post reads, “Hi 5. Phulera wapas aane ki taiyyaari shuru kar lijiye #PanchayatOnPrime, New Season, Coming Soon.”

The poster also featured Durgesh Kumar as Bhushan Sharma, Sunita Rajwar as Kranti Devi, Ashok Pathak as Binod and Aasif Khan as Ganesh.

Season 4 left the fans with a nail-biting cliffhanger as Kranti Devi won the elections, beating Manju Devi, with Pradhaan Ji aka Brij Bhushan having an emotional breakdown.

Things are expected to be more dramatic in the upcoming season and will revolve around Kranti Devi’s rule and how Sachiv Ji tackles the new problems. However, the biggest mystery of Pradhan Ji’s injury is yet to be unveiled.

Panchayat was created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Chandan Kumar. It is from the house of Arunabh Kumar’s The Viral Fever (TVF). The series premiered for the first time in 2020 and garnered critical acclaim for its unique genre and relatable plot.
