YouTuber Jack Doherty arrested in Miami Beach for drug possession and resisting officers

Jack Doherty, the high-energy YouTuber whose daredevil stunts and flipping videos turned him into an online sensation — is making headlines for a very different reason this week.

The Florida-based content creator, who has built an enormous following with more than 15 million YouTube subscribers and millions more on TikTok and Instagram, was arrested on Thursday morning in Miami Beach, leaving his fans stunned.

According to Miami Beach Police, officers approached Jack just before 9 AM outside a smoke shop on Washington Avenue after noticing something that prompted them to check on him.

What began as a routine stop quickly escalated when officers discovered he was carrying marijuana and a controlled substance identified as amphetamine — a prescription drug typically used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy.

Police also stated that Jack tried to pull away while being handcuffed, leading to an additional charge of resisting officers. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and officers were able to restrain him without incident.

He was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where booking records show he arrived shortly before 9 AM. His bond was set at $3,500, though officials confirmed it hadn’t been paid by Thursday afternoon.

For fans, the news came out of nowhere. Just hours before his arrest, Jack had been live on Parti, laughing, chatting, and even sharing videos from a yacht in Miami.

Nothing in his demeanour suggested trouble, and many of his followers expressed disbelief, saying he looked completely “normal and cheerful” during the livestream.

So far, Jack hasn’t made any public statements about the incident, and police have not released further details. Authorities say more information may emerge as the case moves forward.
