Dua Lipa announces engagement to actor Callum Turner, says 'I'm obsessed with my engagement ring'

International pop icon Dua Lipa has officially confirmed her engagement to British actor Callum Turner, marking a joyful milestone in their blossoming romance.

Speaking to British Vogue, the Grammy-winning singer described the moment as “very exciting” and opened up about the thoughtful way in which Callum proposed.

In the candid conversation, Dua revealed that her fiancé had enlisted the help of her sister Rina Lipa and close friends to craft a bespoke engagement ring that truly captured her essence.

“Yeah, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting. I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me,” she gushed.

“It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well. This decision to grow old together… to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”

The couple is naturally ecstatic, but they are currently keeping their wedding plans a secret. Both Dua and Callum are still dedicated to their careers.

Turner is working hard on set for his most recent acting endeavours, while Dua is currently touring with her Radical Optimism album.

Nonetheless, the singer admitted that she has begun imagining herself as a bride. “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period,” she said. “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”

When the couple was first seen together at an after-party after the debut of Apple TV+'s Masters of the Air in early 2024, their relationship started out quietly. A few months later, they went public, dazzling fans with pictures from the July Glastonbury Festival. After Dua was spotted wearing a diamond ring during the holidays, engagement rumours were already circulating by the end of the year.
