While in Mumbai for his concert, singer Diljit Dosanjh addressed the advisory that had been issued to him prior to the event.
Taking to Instagram, team Diljit Dosanjh shared a video where the Punjabi singer expressed that despite the challenges he's facing, he’s determined to ensure his fans have "double the fun." Diljit held his highly anticipated Mumbai show on Thursday evening.
In the video, Diljit said, "I asked my team yesterday, 'Has any advisory been issued?' They said everything is fine. I woke up in the morning only to know that an advisory had been issued." Smiling, he added, "Don't worry, all advisories are for me. You've come to have fun, I'll sure you have double the fun."
Diljit then referenced the story of Sagar Manthan, explaining how the Devtas consumed amrit (holy nectar), while it was Lord Shiva who drank the poison. However, Shiva didn't swallow the poison but held it in his throat. Diljit shared a life lesson from this, saying, "Mujhe toh yahi sikhne ko mila ki zindagi aur duniya aap pe jitna marzi zeher phenke woh isko kabhi bhi apne andar mat lejana" (I’ve learned that no matter how much poison life or people throw at you, never take it inside).
The video concluded with Diljit adding a humorous twist to Allu Arjun's iconic Pushpa: The Rise dialogue. The caption of the video read, "The positive you see in me is a reflection of you."
Diljit also took to his official Instagram account and posted a video from his Mumbai tour. He wrote, "Mumbai (heart hands emoji). I Rise Above Your Advice (smiling face with horns emoji)."
This isn’t the first time an advisory has been issued against Diljit before his performance in India. Similar advisories were issued ahead of his shows in Hyderabad and Chandigarh as well.
During his Chandigarh show, Diljit also stated that unless the concert infrastructure in India is improved, he would no longer perform in the country.
