A Bengaluru-based founder recently shared his amusement after receiving a bizarre job application in which the applicant refused to answer any question seriously and ended the form by telling the hiring team to “take a chill pill.”

Recounting the experience in a viral X post, Paras Chopra, founder of AI lab Lossfunk, said he had invited applications for the role of his executive assistant. Among the responses, this one stood out for its irreverence.

Bizarre answers to hiring queries

When asked why the company should hire him, the candidate wrote: “Why should you not? Give me one reason… Can’t think of anything??? Huh??? Why ask such stupid questions?”

Asked to describe a project he was proud of, the applicant claimed he was working on “increasing the efficiency of the economy by increasing the working force” — by “reproducing as many humans as I probably can.”

Even basic questions were met with sarcasm. When asked if he lived in Bengaluru, the reply was:
Itna personal kyun ho rahe ho aap (Why are you getting so personal)?”

The candidate also refused to share his name, writing simply: “Confidential hai (It's confidential).”

The sign-off

At the end of the application, the candidate appeared to apologise for wasting the recruiter’s time but explained his intent: “I understand that the hiring committee spends a lot of time filtering applications and seeing applications like these would make them go crazy... but life is short... it’s okay to go crazy sometimes. Take a chill pill my bros! Peace.”

Made me chuckle, says founder

Responding to the application, Chopra said it made him laugh. “Ok, whoever filled this, you have my respect! Made me chuckle," he said. When asked if he would consider hiring the applicant, Chopra said there was no way to contact the person.

Online users also left amused

The post sparked a wave of comments, with one user writing: “Petition to give them a comedy Nobel prize for this masterpiece.” Another said, "My brain is going... why would you share the personal information of the candidate to oh my god people really love goofing around." A third user praised Chopra's patience and attitude. “You took this in a very positive stride. Most people won’t,” they said.
