Diljit Dosanjh continues to face threats from Khalistani extremists while on his AURA Tour, following incidents at his international concerts.

According to India Today, US-based Khalistani activist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issued a threat to the singer. During a recent concert in Perth, pro-Khalistan slogans were reportedly raised, and now, his upcoming show in Auckland, New Zealand, has also been targeted for potential disruption by Khalistani supporters.

The controversy started when Dosanjh touched Amitabh Bachchan's feet while making an appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 17.

Khalistani organisations reacted negatively to this gesture, especially the outlawed group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), which published a video disparaging him.

SFJ accused Diljit of using his gesture to offend "every victim, every widow, and every orphan of the 1984 Sikh Genocide."

Additionally, they claimed that over 30,000 Sikh men, women, and children had died as a result of violence sparked by Amitabh Bachchan's lyrics to "Khoon Ka Badla Khoon" (Blood for Blood).

After the threats, Diljit indirectly reacted, clarifying that he did not appear on the show to promote any film or song but to raise awareness and support for Punjab flood relief efforts. On November 1, taking to his Instagram story he wrote in Punjabi, "Na Mai Kisey Film Di Promotion Lai Geya c, Na Kisey Ganey Di Promotion Lai. Punjab Floods Lai Geya C..Ke National Level Te Gal Hove.. Te Loki Donate kar Sakan (I didn’t go for the promotion of any film, nor for the promotion of any song. I went for the Punjab floods… so that the matter could be addressed at the national level and people could donate)."

Diljit has maintained his composure and optimism while concentrating on his music and performances in spite of the threats. In order to reassure his fans that he will not be intimidated, he has continued to post moments from his concerts on social media.

The singer thanked his Adelaide audience for their support after his performance. He underlined the significance of controlling one's behaviour regardless of the situation and avoiding allowing stress to take over. Fans applauded Diljit for responding to the ongoing controversy in a dignified and calm manner.
