Ajith Kumar's starrer Good Bad Ugly continues to be entangled in legal trouble over its song, Otha Ruba Tharen. After Ilaiyaraaja, Filmmaker-writer Kasthuri Raja has recently questioned the use of three songs in the film without consent.

News18 has recently reported that Dhanush’s father, Kasthuri, has expressed his disappointment at his songs being used in the film.

During the recent press conference, Kasthuri claimed that the Good Bad Ugly team used the songs, Panju Mitthai, Otha Ruba Tharen and Thootuvalai Ilai Arachi from his films without his consent.

The filmmaker also pointed out the lack of originality in the recently released movies. He also confirmed that he would take a legal route over the use of the songs and said, “Unlike when stalwarts like Ilaiyaraaja and Deva created timeless music, today’s creators seem to rely on nostalgia rather than innovation.”

He added, “It’s not an issue to use old tracks, but one must seek permission from the original creators. Unfortunately, no one bothers to ask these days.”

However, the makers have debunked Ilaiyaraaja’s claims and producer Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers insisted that they haven’t done anything wrong and used the songs with permission.
